Preptec continues support for Neave Twins Racing in 2018

A new challenge awaits Tim and Tom Neave when they take to the track for the first round of the 2018 season at Donington Park over the Easter weekend. Tim is to move up to the British Supersport Championship, while Tom is to contest the National Superstock 1000 series this year. The 22-year-old Market Rasen twins found success last year in the National Superstock 600 Championship which saw them make history when both riders secured a podium finish at Snetterton, and again at Cadwell Park. Tom won the race at both circuits, while Tim was a close second in both races as Tom finished the year in fifth place on 123 points, and Tim was seventh on 109. This year Tom has decided the time is right to step up to the Superstock 1000 Championship, and he will be riding the a Suzuki GSXR1000 in the 12-round series. Tim is to move up into the British Supersport Championship this year and will be riding a YAMAHA R6 in the highly-competitive 12-round class.

February 2018 refurb project

An S320 110R set of shot blasting equipment was recently supplied to complete a 30,000m2 project in the refurbishment of a rail maintanance facility. The surface is cleaned and prepared using propelled steel abrasive that is then recycled within the machine. The operation is completely dust free and the debris is collected by a connected dust collector. The surface was a mixture of old concrete flooring and steel plate. The S320 equipment was used to remove old coatings , surface contamination and rust to leave a clean and keyed profile ideal for the application of a new epoxy coating.

Please contact us for further details on the Impacts range of surface preparation equipment.

Preptec Sponsor Neeve Twins Racing

This year we’ll be supporting two lads from Lincolnshire, twins Tim and Tom Neave as they make their debut in the Sportsman Elite stock 600 championship with Thundersport GB, both racing Kawasaki ZX-600s. Racing since 2010, they have both come through the ranks of the UK Flat Track Championship; Tim winning the Junior championship in 2010 , Tom in 2011, and Tim came out on top to win the Pro 450 championship in 2014 after a close season long battle between the two of them. They have competed at select races in Europe and America alongside the UK championship, with their highlight of racing at Marc Marquez’s Superprestigio flat track event in December 2014. In 2013, Tom turned his attention to road racing, starting in the mini twin championship, and progressing to the Supertwin class for 2014 where he set four lap records and achieved multiple victories. Tim made his debut on the tarmac the following year, also in the mini twin class where he achieved multiple podiums and finally a victory in the final race of the year. They are both moving onto bigger and better things in 2015 and we are proud to be helping them in their quest to for fill their dreams of being world champions.
